About

May 3rd & 4th 2019

Bodykind is about honouring life in its various forms, rather than comparing

oneself or anyone else to an external concept of beauty.

The festival included inspiring speakers, workshops, art, film, dance, theatre, song, and more…

It was a grassroots, non-profit, whole-community event, genuinely inclusive, encouraging everyone to look at ways of feeling more comfortable in their own skin. Then and now, there's something here for everyone, we look at size, shape, age, colour, gender, sexuality and disability.

Bodykind Festival's core principles are:

  • Promoting inclusivity

  • Celebrating diversity

  • Illuminating and challenging non-acceptance

  • Meeting fear and shame with sensitivity and kindness

We've been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and generosity this initiative has been met by; come and join the revolution.
